- Hello, and thank you for visiting my web site and taking
the time to learn more about my psychotherapy practice. My name is John Boesky, and I am a licensed Marriage and
Family therapist who has a private practice in Kensington, San Diego.
In my practice, I strive to work collaboratively with clients, gently supporting and challenging them to realize
their greatest potential. I help clients build on their strengths, and draw upon the abundant resources available
to them from within their hearts, minds, and souls. I offer them my empathy, compassion, insight, intuition, and
all of the wisdom I've got at this present time in my life. I believe successful therapy is predicated on a great
therapist/client relationship. I offer my clients a humanistic approach, whereupon I see myself as their equal,
not an authoritarian figure offering them a blank slate, or tabula rasa, upon which they project their thoughts
and feelings. I get in the trenches with them, and am proactive and vocal when it comes to offering them my counsel.
My approach is integrative, and draws on cognitive, behavioral, psychodynamic, Object Relations, Jungian, Bowen Family systems, and experiential therapies. I am also trained in EMDR, and use this methodology to help clients process through traumatic life experiences.
Being a therapist/coach is my passion. Therefore I always put forth my very best effort to ensure that my clients'
experience of therapy/coaching is both rewarding and transformational. I work with men, women, couples, families,
and adolescents. I consider my work to be an honor and a privilege, as I truly love the process of empowering those
who are motivated to grow and to become the best they can be. I feel blessed each day with new opportunities to
watch my clients blossom and grow before my very eyes.
NEW GROUPS
I'm presently co-facilitating a men's group that meets twice a month, on Thursday evenings from 7-9 pm, and a women's group that meets weekly from 6:30-8:30 pm. Also, I will be facilitating an adolescent boys group starting on January 5, 2009 from 6-8 pm at $45 a group. Click Here to contact me for more information or to register. |
